About

This blog is about the promises that the almighty God has made to those who have become His children through the redemption which is in Christ Jesus.

Return the promises

“so shall my word be that goes out from my mouth;
it shall not return to me empty,
but it shall accomplish that which I purpose,
and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it.” Isaiah 55:9-11

God, as our intimate Father, has made us promises. These promises have gone forth from His mouth and are in His Word, The Bible. If we return God’s promises to Him by declaring them in prayer, then they will be accomplished and succeed in our lives.

Persistence in the promises

“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.” Matthew 7:7

The original verb in this verse is a present continuous that means: Ask and keep on asking and you will receive. Seek and keep on seeking and you will find. Knock and keep on knocking and it will be opened to you. We must persevere in asking and seeking for the fulfillment of the promise.

Patient in the promises

“so that you may not be sluggish, but imitators of those who through faith and patience inherit the promises.” Hebrews 6:12

Faith and patience is needed to inherit the promises of God.
